 If any of you have time to view this – it will certainly make you think and also be angry.  It is not from Monsanto’s website (no kidding) but I found this and a lot of other good stuff just by googling Monsanto.

The video we watched in class and the subsequent viewings  and readings of similar atrocities not only sicken me but more importantly, make me increasingly aware of the bubble that I live in.

This week’s reading

I just finished this week’s reading and once again, I am stunned! I can not believe corporations like Monsanto exist. The level of dishonesty just to make a buck is unbelievable!  I found some interesting video supporting the damage that Monsanto is causing. Check out the Indian Farmers Driven to Suicide and Fox News Told to Lie.  What kind of world to we live in????   I also stopped in to read Monsanto’s own propoganda. Scary stuff. After reading all of the posts and thinking on them it is a bit like having the judge say “strike those comments” to the jury – my thoughts now are not the same as the ones I had in my immediate response to the LER’s.

To be quite truthful, I had no strong reactions after reading Jamaica Kincaid’s article. That’s not to say I wasn’t just a little surprised when she said that tourists are ugly human beings.
